Carla Hendricks joined CASA Nashville in January 2021, bringing with her nearly two decades of advocacy for vulnerable children and families. After becoming an adoptive parent, she discovered a passion to support and advocate for children whose lives have been touched by trauma, foster care, and/or adoption. Having earned a bachelor’s in Communications from Howard University, this passion led her to pursue training in trauma-informed care by completing Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner Training in 2018. Her journey with CASA began when she was commissioned as a volunteer advocate for Williamson County CASA in 2016. She is thrilled that this journey has led her to CASA Nashville as a Volunteer Advocate Team Leader and hopes to serve CASA Nashville for many years to come.
